Yes Or No To Screamo?

Hey guys,
So I am just sitting here listening to a christian screamo band called Devil Wears Prada. I am listening to their Zombie EP. I am trying to form an opinion about it and so far I like it. This got me thinking about how some people really can't handle scremo music. I totally respect people's opinions on this type of music because it can be frightening and not a good influence. When I am in the mood to listen to scremo I have some standards I go by.I only listen to bands that I know are christian based, I have to understand some of the lyrics,and as a personal preference they can't be growling in a low voice the whole time. What I like about Devil Wears Prada is that they sing really nice and they incorporate their scremo skills into their songs so its not super hardcore the entire song. -Lexus

What Are You?...A Weeping Angel

My church held an event where we have people park their cars and kids go around trick-or-treating at each car. Everyone dresses up in costumes. I dressed up as a Weeping Angel. My friend went with me as the 10th doctor. I painted my face white and attempted to look like a statue as best as I could. I did scare a little kid which was kinda funny.My other friend went as Harry Potter and she won a prize for the best costume!She got a candy bar which was pretty cool. I also got to see my friends new puppy. I would see it in pictures and I didn't think it was that cute but when I got to see it in person it changed my mind. It's a black and white speckled cocker spaniel puppy with the bluest eyes ever. The puppy's name is Izzy.

Frustrating Qualities

There are things about myself that I find frustrating. I think I will make a list.

1. The way I procrastinate
2. The way I forget everything unless I write it on a post-it note
3. The way I always go off on tangents thinking about something when I should be reading something important
4. The way I am sometimes to scared to ask or give people something
5. The perfectionist inside me
6. The way I can't type without looking at the keyboard
7. When I want stay up late into the wee hours of the morning but ends up being to tired to
8. The way little noises irritate me
9. My fear of driving
10. My fear of someone coming in our house at night and murdering my family
11. The way I am terrible at math
12. The way I need to have my face covered if I am sleeping with other people around

Longest Night

So I am sitting here in the hotel room in the dark with my mom attempting to sleep and my aunt totally passed out.Its reached 11:06p.m. so Doctor Who is on which gives me some joy.It's really nice having a window to sit next to with a great skyline. My guardians didn't feel like going anywhere after 7:30p.m. so I have been quite bored all night. All I have done is play on my aunt's laptop,get a shower, and watch boring tv because we don't get all the channels in our hotel. My friend who was supposed to come with me didn't.She decided not to come the night before.I was kinda irritated that she blew me off but I like being by myself during trips like this.I don't have to be concerned about another person so it's kinda releiving. We leave tomorrow afternoon which is a bummer cause this town is awsome.I do miss my bed and Xbox 360 though. I will just have to spend some extra quality time with them when I get home.-Lexus

Oh So Sparkley!

So I follow nail blogs and recently I thought that since I love to do my nails I should post some of my designs. So this is my first one.Its not that interesting but I wanted to do my nails before I go away for the weekend so I thought some sparkles would be appropriate for the occasion.Enjoy!

Lets Take A Trip

So this weekend I get to go to Des Moines for the weekend.I am allowed to bring a friend with me so I picked a friend I don't really get to hang out with by myself anymore. My aunt is running a race and she wanted us to come with as company.Since my aunt will be in the race my mom, friend,and I will be on our own. I don't know what we are going to be doing but I'm happy as long as its fun. The downside is that I will be missing youth group.We have new youth leaders who are awesome!I am excited to have them!-Lexus

The Result of This Weekend

Hey,
So I said in my last post that I would post a picture of what I bought this weekend so I will below this post. The first thing got was a black and gray striped pull over from Forever 21. Then I got a black and white rubber bracelet the has LOVE IS THE MOVEMENT on it which I bought form Hot Topic. Red hair dye from Target was the last thing I bought. It was really fun to hang out with my friends. When I got home after awhile I dyed my hair because my roots were showing. It was the first time I did it by myself and I did a pretty good job for it being my first time. Before I dyed my hair I went to the theatre to see Abduction. I thought it was decent. On Sunday I went to Kohls and bought some tops. I wore my purple one today because we had picture day. Yesterday I tried water marbling my nails and it didn't work out well so I probably won't be trying that again. On Monday I had to perform a skit with our high school and 8th graders for tons of teenagers because our school participates in the Student Hunger Drive. We got on the news!-Lexus
