How Lazy Can You Be?

I'm a pretty lazy person. On the other hand I also like to work hard at things that matter to me. I was having a conversation with someone about video games. Typically lazy people do this activity because I doesn't require manual labor. I am so lazy sometimes I don't play the video games I have because I don't want to use my brain to figure out the game. My uncle was kind enough to buy me Modern Warfare 3 for my birthday but I haven't played it for more than 30 minutes since I got it which was at least 3days ago. When I want to relax I usually watch TV or sleep. After a long day at school all I ever want to do is either sleep or watch TV shows that I have seen a million times. I have know idea why I would prefer that but I do.I guess since I use my brain all day at school TV would be the perfect thing to do since TV doesn't require much brain activity. I have heard that watching TV makes you less intelligent.I don't know if that's true or not but I can see how that could happen. I suppose there are much better things to do like reading or socializing with friends. Of course you can't do that all the time though.

The Revolve Tour

So last weekend I went with the girls in my youth group to Omaha,Nebraska. The event  was called the Revolve Tour.The Revolve Tour is an event held for teen girls. It has awesome worship service, singers,and speakers. The theme of this year was Dream On. This theme of course mean to live your dreams and reach for your goal. It also made the point that God has a plan for your life and anything is possible through him. So for me personally I would like to thrive as an artist and make a living with my talent.On the other side I  have to keep in mind that God has a plan for me and it may not be want I want or expect. There was also a speaker named Chad Eastham who was so hilarious! He mainly talked about boys, relationships, and all that other stuff that teenage girls love to hear about. I even bought a couple books by him because his advice was really great.Also there was an illusionist called Harris III who came to perform.His main point about his presentation is to not let your senses fool you.He even got up on stage and escaped from a straight jacket (which for all who don't know requires you to dislocate your shoulder to get out).It was very inspiring and helped me out so I hope I get the chance to go again.

Bananas

So I had my friend say a random word so I could try to test my blogging abilities and just write a whole post about one random word. I think the banana is one of the most hated fruits there is. Other fruits I think would be the grapefruit and prune. I don't even know if a prune is a fruit but I think I'll just go with it anyways. Grapefruits are terrible! I don't understand how people can just pick one up,slice it in half, and eat it. I know putting sugar on it is something you can do to make it taste better. However, I tried this and it did not taste good at all! Why in the world does the grapefruit exist it? Although, I think you make pink lemonade with grapefruits and that tastes good. Also what made people think of naming it the grapefruit? It does not resemble a grape in anyway. Okay, so I actually made a blog out of one word. The word should have been grapefruits.

Golden Birthday

So tomorrow will be my 17th birthday! Since my birthday is on the 17th and I'm turning 17 it is called my "Golden Birthday" which is cool. I got some neat stuff. I got an awesome Doctor Who Poster from my mom. It says,"Things I Learned From Watching Doctor Who." It has things on it like "Don't blink"and"The adipose diet is not a great idea." I also got a neat Huger Games Bag. It's really nice and handy to carry around. I got Xbox Live for three months which is nice to have cause I never know when it's going to run out on me. I got an Adventure Time poster that smells like candy. The last thing I got from my family that I especially like was the metal picture carousel that I asked for. My friend got me a Devil Wears Prada shirt and bracelet that I have been wanting for awhile.She also came to me with a Acid Rain flavored Bubble Tea which was nice. There were things off the internet that I wanted but didn't get so maybe in the future when I ave money I will be able to finally get my hands on some Owl City and LiveLavaLive merchandise.

Sticky Tack and Posters

So I just had a thought about how the sticky tack I use doesn't do a very good job of holding up my posters. I have a ton of posters! I don't like looking at white walls so I try to cover them up as best as I can. There is a problem however when the things you put up keep coming off your walls. A few weeks ago I got really hot and the sticky tack on my walls started to melt. I was peacefully sleeping when all of a sudden Johnny Depp falls on me. Then everything after that starts to fall. Currently I have a huge space on my wall. I took down this huge poster that was really cool yet really irritating cause it wasn't stuck all the way to my wall and it was just in the way. So now I have have to acquire more pictures to fill the empty void on my wall. I want to get pictures of my friends but I never really think about taking pictures. I have been wanting to get the "don't stay in bed"poster. I think that would be a good poster since I wold love to stay in bed all day. Hopefully it would motivate me to get out.

Vegetarian

     I can't imagine eating "rabbit food" all the time for the rest of my existence. I knew this girl that I used to go to school with and she was a vegetarian. The reason why was because she just thought meat in general was gross. I can understand that. A couple years ago my friends decided to make a New Year's resolution to start being vegetarian. I don't actually know why they decided they wanted to do this but I definateley didn't join them. It was of course a failure for both of them. My one friend named Catie dind't even last a day which wasn't a suprise for me. She ended up eating lasagna on the first day. My other friend Kayleen actually was doing really well I don't remember quite how long she lasted but it was at least a couple weeks. Apparently vegetarian food is really expensive so she just stopped. I think that people that are vegetarians because it's wrong to eat animals are doing it for the wrong reasons. God gave us animals to eat. Genesis 9:3 says."Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things."

Can vegetarians eat animal crackers?

Cleaning Wizard

I just came back from cleaning my grandma's apartment.It did not feel like I spent 2 hours there!I spent most my time on her shower because there was a lot of buildup that she couldn't get to come off but since I'm stronger I could.It really wasn't a problem though I was happy to be able to do it for her. She kept saying that I didn't have to work so hard. When I do something ex specially for someone else I want to do it to the best of my ability. Cleaning my own house is another story. I clean my house every week so I get quite bored of it.I don't feel like working as hard because I don't feel like I need to impress anyone unless we have company over. I got 25 dollars out of it!Someday I hope to be able to do it again without getting paid just to be nice. Now I have to figure out how to get around 40 more dollars by next Wednesday.I don't know how I am going to do it. Not ever having money anymore is starting to stress me out.

Easter

For Easter this year my Aunt Annie,Uncle Donn, and Aubri are coming to visit. So I will be cleaning my grandma's apartment because that is where they will be staying. Since I need money to go on the Revolve Tour next weekend I asked if there was anything I could do to get extra money. So as I said before I will be cleaning to get money.  Also on Easter Sunday I get the opportunity to showcase my art skills on stage.I have always thought about this but thought it would never happen. A few kids my age will be painting up on stage while some people sing a song. There will be Three painting areas. One will have Jesus's face painted on it. The other two will have his hands. After those have been painted with black paint another person will come across and paint the blood on his hands and forehead. I'm so excited! I get to go practice on Saturday. I hope it will be a success.

Sick of Being Late

I have to carpool to get to school everyday. The only problem is that they are always late. All through my junior high and high school life I have been late because of the many people who took me to school. Personally I hate being late. It just stresses me out. I think I got it from my mom because she's the same way. I usually don't have much of a problem if it's just a few minutes but when isn't a whole 30 minutes or more I think that's a problem. Lately I have been calling my carpool almost every morning to see where she is and if she's on her way but every time I call I wake her up. Personally I think her daughter is old enough to set her own alarm clock and wake herself up and if she sees her mother isn't up then she should do something. I have missed two classes last week and I missed my first class again today. I feel bad having to call my mom at work asking her to pick me up when she wouldn't have to if my carpool got things worked out at their home. I hope that this summer I get my license. If I get it I won't have to worry about these things. The only problem is that I really hate driving.

Reading More

For school we have a certain amount of pages to read and if we don't then it of course effect our grade. For awhile I have found it hard to do this. I could never reach the 600 pages needed. I even have interesting books that I read but it still wouldn't motivate me. If I wanted to meet the requirement it would require reading outside of school which is the last thing I wanted to be doing.Now I have been trying to get my prioreties straight and work hard. I found out that if I make myself read more I eventually get used to it and then want to read. It also has been helping me read faster for other subjects. In 2010 I made a New Year's resolution to read more. It started out great and I did read more that year than I have in past year's but I still think I could have done better. Right now I have been looking forward to getting a Mike Dellosso book. It is called Frantic. I'm hopeing to get it for my upcoming birthday. I was reading Darkness Follows when a preveiw of the book was in the back of the book to read and for the first time a book actually scared me.

Green Coke

So last night my friend and I went went to get something to eat after youth group. We usually stay late at the church with one of our other friends and wait for her dad to come pick her up. It was around 9:00p.m. when we finally decided to leave. We wanted to eat at Subway but they were already starting to clean up so we left. After that we thought Chick-a-fila sounded good but too were closing up soon. I guess trying to find a place to eat so late wasn't a good idea. We finally just decided to deal with Sonics food. The last time I ate their food it was really terrible so I was a little hesitant to eat their chicken but I still ate it anyways.It was actually really good. I also ordered a Coke with Blue Coconut flavoring. It was so amazing! When you first drink it you can kinda taste the coconut but then the after taste really tastes like coconut. The blue flavoring made my drink green. I had a really nice time and I hope to go there again soon.

Nothing Interesting

Nothing really interesting has really been happening this week. Although on Monday my triangle pillow came in the mail! I got home from school and walked up the stairs into my kitchen when I saw the box on the counter. At first I was thinking that it was my pillow. Then I thought it was something else because within the time I was waiting for it 3 packages came to the house and none of them were my pillow. I looked at the box and it had the Throwboy label on it so I knew it was mine.I was so happy and excited that I nearly stabbed myself trying to get the box open. I was confused when I opened it because there was two pillows. The Throwboy Team gave me an extra pillow because of the delay. The pillows are super soft because they are made out of fleece. It looks nice being displayed on my bed because there are black triangles on the pillow that match my comforter. In the package there was also a pin. I put it on my school bag along with my other pins. I love pins even though they have a tendency to fall off.

Serve-A-Thon

So today my school is going to be doing a Serve-a-thon.We will go out to different places and lend our services to raise money for the school. I forgot to sign up for a certain spot so I have no clue what I will be doing today.I am hoping that I will get to go paint with my friend Lexi at the Salvation Army.I have always wanted to paint walls. Once my mom and I painted a room in my aunt's house.I really wanted to help paint the walls but it didn't happen. Instead I painted a table which was fun. For awhile I have been wanting to paint my room. My room is pretty small so the color I want won't go over so well with my guardians.I really want a dark purple. A long time ago my uncle had a girlfriend and her walls were dark purple and for some reason I just loved it.The weird thing is that I still want it after at least 10 years. Well at the end of the serve-a-thon my whole school will be going to Incredible Pizza.I don't really want to go but I don't really have a choice.Maybe it will be fun.

Everything

So I just got back from youth group and I'm really tired. We have been working on a human video for our teen service this Sunday morning.Every once and awhile the teenagers run the morning service and put ther own spin on it. I absolutley love doing human videos!I don't have to talk or sing which is good for me. I feel so great when I get to glorify God through my skills. I know that I have touched lives by doing these human videos.I always jump at the opportunity to be a part of them. I am also quite worn out from danceing at school. The girls are working on a routine for the spring program.I am so proud of it because I got to contribute to it. I can't wait to show everyone and do it for God. The other thing we are working on for the spring program is another human video which unfortunateley I am not as pumped about. For some reason I can't get into the feeling of it.Hopefully that will change soon.

Bordeom Screen

Well I can't get any tv channels on my television because the cable company is stupid.My digital signal strength is apparently too low and I may need a weird box thing. So I have been watching Netfix on my Xbox and I have run out of things to watch. Nothing seems to look very interesting. If I do find something I want to watch it's rated R.It's so frustrateing! I never really watch movie because I end up falling asleep during them or I will stay up later than normal finishing it and I will regret it the next day. Usually I rewatch Torchwood,Doctor Who,6Teen,and Fruits Basket. I really like Anime but it's hard to find ones that I can watch that aren't inappropriate. Silly Japanese people I guess can't understand that you don't have to put naughty things into their stories. Actually I think a lot of people don't realize that shows and movies could go without language or sexual content. It really ruins things for me. I want to watch Adventure Time and Regular Show now. I hope things will get fixed soon so I can watch my spazzy cartoons.

Trust Me I've Had 907 Of Them

Last weekend I attended my friend's birthday party. The theme was Doctor Who. Of course it was a lot of fun. We watched Breaking Dawn pt.1.It was and okay movie but I don't think I would ever want to see it again. I brought over my Xbox360 so we could play Left 4 Dead 1 and 2. I really like zombie killing games and it is so much more fun playing with your friend so you can freak out together. For the most part we just were hanging out in her room while playing with her hamster named Jupiter. He was the cutest thing in the world but for some reason he liked to go potty on me and no one else! I also got to try the strange combination of fish fingers and custard which is what The Doctor ate when he met Amelia Pond for the first time. It is a weird tasting meal. I don't think I ever would want to eat it again. I think the best part of the night was either Watching part of the newest Doctor Who Christmas episode or acting like maniacs. I hope that we all get to hang out again soon. We always have an insanely fun time together.

You Guy's Call It Pop!

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into my youth room yesterday and got attacked by one of my best friends. Her name is Catie and I absolutely love her. I have been friend with her since we were 6. About three years ago we got the disappointing news that she had to move down to Georgia. It was really hard not having her around but I think it was good for their family. Whenever she comes back It just feels like a breathe of fresh air. She is so positive and uplifting. She has always been that way and I never thought I would miss it so much. Well of course they say things different down in the south and apparently people look at her weird when she says pop instead of soda. She saw the there was a box full of empty cans in the room the had the word "pop" on it. She freaked out and took a picture of it. It was so funny! She says she love Georgia but Iowa feels like her home. I hope someday she comes back and actually stays.

President's Day Off

Today I have no school so as usual I sit at home by myself. It's nice being home by myself.I haven't had a lot of time by myself recently. At this moment I am working on an author project about Henry James. I thought I might take a break and blog for awhile because I have been reading for about 2 hours now and nothing is making sense anymore. I also just discovered that my library card won't let me access the library data basses which is what I need for my project due tomorrow. I have a feeling it will not be getting done on time. I can't wait for this paper to be done with. I'm also starting to wonder if my triangle pillow is ever going to arrive!I has been about 4 weeks since I ordered it. I really hope it comes soon even though it did say it could take 6 weeks I can't help but worry where it is. The other thing on my mind was that my uncle came into my room to get his old Xbox and brought his friend with.It was weird.His friend is awesome but I guess I don't want everyone seeing my inner sanctum plus I was trying to sleep so it made it even stranger.

Healthiness

Healthiness is difficult for me. I love to eat junkfood and all the stuff that you shouldn't eat.It wouldn't be so bad if the people I lived with would stop buying it but since it's there I will want to eat it. I have a decent amount of self control but then again sometimes I don't.Lateley I have been trying to not drink as much soda. My goal is to only have maybe 2 or three cans a week. Ever since Christmas break though it has been hard to get back into not drinking as much. I also try to excersize. During the summer I am really good about doing it everyday but when school rolls around it definateley dosen't get done. I am always worn out from school and the last thing I want to do is hop on the excersize bike and work out. Although working out does make me feel better if I'm frustrated or stressed out. I think it would be fun to get a treadmill. My mom and I used to go out for walks and I enjoyed it but we don't do it anymore. The winter weather isn't ideal walking weather I suposse.

Anywhere But Here

So this last weekend my mom and I went up to see one of our friends that used to live in our town. Two years ago we did the same thing around this time. The town is really small and kinda boring. It really makes me thankful to live where I do. We love her and love to come visit her despite the long dive. On the bright side my mom spoiled me and bought me a lot of stuff. She bought me Venom energy drinks and a whole bunch of other junk food. On the way home it was horrendous! It was snowy and slick. My mom was super stressed out and when she get all stressed it starts to freak me out. Luckily we got home safe and we even made a trip to the CoralVille Mall. She again bought me stuff. I got a shirt from Zumiez and the workers were much nicer than the ones at my mall. I also got new shoes! They are a pair of black Vans that were on sale

Early Birthday

Since my Xbox 360 was failing me my mom and aunt so kindly went in together to buy me a new Xbox 360. They bought it for me early because they didn't know how long the sale would last. So now I currently have a new Xbox 360! I'm so happy to be able to watch Netfix and other stuff in my room again. I do however have to go out and buy a new hard drive. I barely have any memory space. I don't know when I'm going to get it though. Hopefully it will be soon.I also am getting Batman:Arkham City through the mail. I heard it was really good but difficult. I'm trying to train myself to not get easily frustrated when playing videogames. If I fail at something I get discouraged really easily. Which is not a good quality in a gamer. Practice really helps you get through difficult levels. Also if I walk away from a game for a little bit and come back it usually helps depending on what it is.

Rainbow Cake

On Sunday my Mom and I baked a cake. It wasn't just an ordinary cake. The cake we made was rainbow! We made it for my Grandpa and Grandma's birthdays. It turned out really great. It was packed full of sugary frosting. I had all the colors you could think of except yellow because we didn't have enough cake mix. This had to be one of the greatest cakes I have helped her make. I was really excited to make it. Someday I hope I will be able to proudly say I did one by myself. It actually takes a lot of work. I am also going to help my Mom with a TARDIS cake hopefully. My friend is having a Doctor Who party and they asked my mom do do the cake because she did one for me on my 16th birthday.Her cake will be different though and less extravagant unfortunately.

What Makes A Good Friend?

A good friend may mean different things to different people. I'm not sure exactly what I look for in a friend. Usually if me and another person just get along well we just end up being friends. Of course though there has to be common interests between a pair of friends. I guess the main thing I really like about my best friends is that we have similar taste in music and style. In my opinion we don't dress or act like most of the population.  I have seen many people my age dress inappropriately or just in a way that is just not my style. I try to be modest when I dress that way I can be an good example.Most of my friends also are the same religion as me except for a select few that I don't hang out with on a normal basis. I like having friends that can boost me spiritually.A person that I can joke around with is also nice.Not everyone has the same sense of huumor. I just love my friends!I guess if your just nice then someone will come your way.

Frustration

So I woke up an hour early this morning by accident. Sometimes when I set my alarm somehow I change the actually time. So that means that I get the wonderful joy of having to wake up extremely tired then when I am almost all done getting ready I see that it's not the time it should be. The buttons on my clock stick really bad. I don't know if I spilled something on it but it's super annoying. So instead of going back to bed I thought that I would be productive because I'll be to tired to do it later. I got my history homework done which is handy. This blog is also homework for English class so I'm still being productive. Since the whole idea of this post was about how stupid my clock is and I don't have anything else to say about it I'll talk about what other things have been bouncing around in my mind for the past week. I can't wait for the triangle pillow to get here! Also I really love those lime tortilla chips from Chipolte. I kinda want to go back there. I've only ever been there once and I'd like to give it another try. It wasn't bad the first time I went. It was just really messy cause I got tacos. It was really spicy too because I got steak.I think if I go again I would put my stuff in a burrito. Lastly, I got Real Steel on DVD.

Triangle Waiting Game

Last night I ordered the awesome triangle felt pillow of the Throwboy website. Since it's handmade it said that it will take 3-6 weeks to get to my home. I am so excited! Ive been wanting this for awhile. Ever since I saw it on a LiveLavaLive video on YouTube I've been wanting to get my hands on it. After awhile I forgot about it but then it got some money. I couldn't think of anything better than the greatest pillow ever. It's a sky blue with different colored triangles on it. I painted a mug with the same pattern on it over Christmas break. I use it all the time. Now all I have to do is play the waiting game for hopefully only 3 weeks. It would be cool though to possibly have it get to me on Valentine's Day. It's like a little present to myself. Usually I forget a lot of things so I will probably forget then get surprised when it arrives.It's like when you find random money in your pockets!

Room Clutter and Other Stuff

So we had a half day of school today due to snow. I like half days because we don't have to make up work but you can go home when you done with all your classes. At least for me all my important classes I have before lunch. Right now I'm making lunch and trying to contemplate what I should do. I am really tired so I may take a nap so I will be awake and somewhat alert for home work later. I also could be doing chores so my mom wont bother me about them when she gets home. At least I am getting some work done by blogging. My room is a pretty big mess. During the week I don't even bother putting my clothes away. They just lay there and get stepped on and moved around until I get the time to put them away. Since I usually wear some clothes more than once a week it's handy just to have on the floor to dig around in. My jewelry and make up is also usually sprawled across both my desks. With a small room like mine any kind of clutter looks pretty bad. I actually like having a clean room.

Focus Problems

So lately my life has consisted mostly of homework. Endless hours of  history, algebra,and reading.
I like to read sometimes but I have a real problem with focusing.I'll start to read something and then all of a sudden with out knowing it I will start a thinking tangent. It's really annoying because I feel like I'm not learning and I'm wasteing time.I think I have ADD or something like that. I don't know how to get myself focused on what I need to do without getting distracted. Lately I have been having an extra hard time with it. I can't read with any slight noise or I will start to go insane. I feels like there are a million different things to do and not enough time. I also have been feeling more tired. I get to bed at a reasonable hour but still suffer through the day with a lingering sleepiness. It probly dosent help that so far the past 3 weekends have been spent with friends and we stay up late. I"m hopeing I get the weekend to myself so I can catch up.

The Red Ring Of Death

Last night I wanted to watch Thor and use my Xbox 360 as a DVD player. That didn't happen. It all started with the screen freezing up and then it wouldn't even turn on properly. All of a sudden the ring around the power button starts blinking red....great. My first instinct when I see a red flashing light is danger. I started freaking out and now I'm really worried because apparently the blinking red ring of doom means a possible malfunction that I can't fix myself. The only reason I got my Xbox in the first place was because it wasn't working for one of my friends and my uncle fixed it and gave it to me. He said he would come over and attempt to fix it but I don't think anything will happen. What am I going to do? I love my Xbox as if it were my own flesh and blood!I am doomed! I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully I wont have to pay for a new one. If I do then I may be able to buy my uncle old Xbox for $75.

The Sims 3

I got the Sims 3 for Xbox 360. It is an incredibly addictive game. It's fun being creative and forming a fake life for a electronic person. What I enjoy the most is being able to create nice houses that I wish existed in real life. I also like creating Sims. I think the reason it's addicting is because you can create a life you wish you had. My Sim for example has blue hair. I wish I could dye my hair blue but that will not be able to happen until well....when I'm older. In the game you have the freedom to create a crazy life which for me is fun. Not everyone would enjoy this type of game which is understandable. When you sum the game up it does sound quite lame. All it is is creating a person/family and living a life based off the real world. The only thing I don't care for in the game is that it's not co-op. I would love to be able to play with  friends. When I was younger I remember getting out my Game Cube and heading over to my friends house to play the Sims 2. We never beat the game which is disappointing. It seems so long ago I don't even want to try anymore.

Christmas Vacation

These past few days I have been on my Christmas Break.It was really nice to get away from all the stress from school. Most of my break was spent with my mother because she took off from work and wanted to spend time with me.We did a lot of stuff together and even though I love my mom by the time my break was over I wanted to leave my house for a week. I remember as a kid I would spend the night at one of my friends houses and would stay there for a couple nights and it would'nt be long before we would get under each others skin. I think since I'm an only child it's harder to be patient with other people. I'm used to just being accountable for myself and not worrying another person. I think alot of only childeren have selffish tendencies. I also spent some time with my friends which was fun too.I got to see Breaking Dawn pt. 1 for five dollars which was cool. I'm not super into the Twilight series but I think it's good enough to watch. I won't ever read the books though which is fine. I also for some reason kept ending up at the mall and Starbucks. I like the mall but it kinda freaks me out.There is loads of people and alot of them are scary teenagers. There is however some guy that works at Bubble Tea who is kinda crazy and freaks my friends out who I adore. My friends and I thinks he lives at the mall cause he's constantly there.
